About the game
Ludo is a 2-4 player strategy board game. Players race their 4 pawns from the start point to the finish according to dice rolls. Players need to go around the board from their start point and cross their opponents by either racing them to the finish point or destroying them on the way to reach their colored house.

What I worked On
Conceptualization:

I was the one given the task of how the game would work and feel in general, including the gameplay, mechanics, theme, UI placements, etc.

I thoroughly researched and referred to existing Ludo games in the market to know how the mechanics and gameplay work and went ahead with a unique approach.

I also had to consider how the Hike messaging app would work, hand in hand with the game. With the target market being Indian, I had to approach the game with a more Indian mindset.
Pod Leader/ Manager:

With the task of conceptualization and eventually documenting it, I was given the role of managing as a Pod Leader.

would constantly communicate with the programmers to help them with the implementation of mechanics and game rules as well as with game artists for the assets and animations.

I also managed Client Communication, where I was closely in contact with our client Hike and solved their requirements with our team.
Documentation:

Created a bunch of documents such as the intensive GDD.
The GDD included the Game Elements, Gameplay Rules, Dice Value Storing Logic, Game Mode (1v1, 3 Players and 4 Players), Screenflow, Art Asset List, VFX & Animation List, Sound Design List, Game Edge Cases, Bot Logic, Timer Logic.
User Interface/ UX Design :

As I was handling the documentation as well as the conceptualize, I had to visually represent the screen flow of the entire game and its accessibility with the Hike messaging app.

This included access from home space to the waiting screen, FTUE Experience, Lost Connection Screens, Gameplay, Dice Choice Selection, Player Turns (If offline), and Win Screen.
Diwali Event: Conceptualised and prepared UX design for the Diwali event which had a tight schedule. Worked with the artists to provide assets with the Diwali theme.
